Letter to Applicants

Dear Integrated Plastic Surgery Applicant,

This year, ACAPS is sponsoring the specialty-wide pilot of the Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA) for integrated residency programs. The PSCA is a plastic surgery-specific application crafted to both improve the residency application process and decrease financial barriers to students by remaining completely FREE. 

The majority of plastic surgery programs will still be accepting the ERAS application this cycle with the PSCA as a supplemental (or alternative) application for direct comparison. We are one of several few programs that are only accepting the PSCA. ACAPS is strongly recommending that all applicants complete the PSCA. 

Upon accessing the application, you will be instructed to create a secure account and will be able to request letters of recommendation, transcripts, and MSPE (Dean's Letters) directly through the application portal. As in years prior the match will remain with National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
